Jürgen von Kories

As a generalist, Jürgen worked in both the waste and the energy industry for more than 20 years. Having a PhD in water treatment technology, being a graduate from one of the most renowned German universities in water supply, he accumulated all necessary key elements which constitute Powasa. Besides developing the Powasa concept, Jürgen runs his own consultancy business (www.vonkories.de). He is actively involved in the development of waste treatment concepts, optimising the performance of waste management companies, improving the CO₂ footprints of waste management systems, and consulting industrial and public clients in waste technology related matters. Prior to this, he worked for an international consultancy and engineering firm and was responsible for the development of the company’s waste business in Europe. His operational and managerial skills in the waste business he mainly accumulated while being regional manager for MENA and Africa of a waste management company in Germany for almost 5 years. As an in-house consultant of a Germany based, yet multinational power utility he gained an in-depth knowledge of all energy generation, transmission and distribution related matters.
